New Evening Classes with Yvette kick off this month

We are so excited to announce that Yvette will start teaching evening classes at A Place to Create this month and we are kicking it off with this gorgeous page.

You are welcome to bring your journal along and create your page in it.

ROAD TRIP TO TOOWOOMBA

Next Sunday, Karenina and Sharon will be taking A Place to Create on a road trip to Toowoomba so that the local crafters can experience shopping without having to drive for hours to access a great range of products.

We went one Sunday last year and it was so well received, we are doing it again.

4 fabulous stores have teamed up to bring crafting alive in Toowoomba again with a day of fabulous shopping opportunities at the Show grounds.

If you know anyone local to Toowoomba or happy to pop into Toowoomba for a shopping spree, please spread the word.

WE HAVE A NEW RETREAT VENUE FOR NOVEMBER 2020

We are so excited to announce we have found a

NEW RETREAT VENUE

- a fabulous waterside one with twin share bedrooms complete with

private ensuites, heating, air conditioning, ceiling fans, mini fridge and linen provided

on the beautiful Maroochy River....... better still, we have secured a date this year.

Friday 27th November to Sunday 29th November.

So the big question is who wants to come????

The cost is $350.00 / person and if you really want to sleep alone, you can pay an extra $45.00 and have the room all to yourself.

Is this not the best news you've had this week????

We are so excited to host a getaway this year to wrap up a very surreal and 

Can you believe half the year is gone already?

It's all been a bit surreal but we have all done really well to keep ourselves and each other safe in Australia and hope we can continue to be mindful and safe as we resume activities.

Tomorrow sees us reopen our classroom and we are beyond excited.

The calendar is packed for July and we also have visiting businesses like Stella and Dash visiting with their first in store ear ring making class on Monday 27th July also.  All bookings are direct through Stella and Dash so it's not on the calendar but we would love to see you enjoy yourself at this class also.

We popped Suzie in for two days - a Saturday and Sunday to help get over how long it's been since we did mixed media with her.  Beginners are welcome to attend her classes as the class is slow paced with demonstrations and then creative times staggered.

Remember our Wednesday scrap and chats are FREE 10am - 3pm however we must have bookings for these as we manage numbers and undertake the necessary arrangements for cleaning and spacing.

We would presume it goes without saying now that if you are displaying any cold or flu like symptoms, high temperatures or sore throat, that you stay home and seek medical advice before returning to social activities.

Please do not attempt to attend classes if you are unwell as we will have to ask you to leave for the comfort and safety of everyone.  Many thanks in advance for your co-operation as we work through this unprecedented event and reopening of the classroom.

IN STORE CROPS RESUME

Sadly this week we were informed that Frederick Marsden Youth Centre at Kallangur where we hold our retreats has not survived the financial fall out of COVID restrictions and has permanently closed it doors at this stage.

Given we have such a large space available for our classroom, we have decided to run an in store crop on the same weekend to allow people who have made plans to join us to still do so for at least a couple of days.

Everyone registered for our May and August retreats has now been contacted and offered priority placing at our in store retreat.

We will set another date for further in store retreats so if you have missed out please leave your name with us for the next available dates.

IN STORE CROP ~ SATURDAY 27TH JUNE ~ 9AM - 9PM

Cost: $45.00 per person

You will be provided with a full trestle table each to ensure safe distancing and extra cleaning measures are in place before and after the event.

All day tea and coffee, morning tea, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner are included along with a welcome gift and lucky door ticket for a great prize pack.

IN STORE CROP ~ SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST ~ 12 NOON - 9PM

You will be provided with a full trestle table each to ensure safe distancing and extra cleaning measures are in place before and after the event.

Cost: $30.00 per person
